Evan Dorkin Art - Convention art from 1990 and 1991

I have two pieces of Evan Dorkin’s convention art based on perhaps his most notable work “Milk and Cheese” (Slave Labor Graphics, 1991–1997).

These artworks came from the San Diego Comic Con in 1990 and 1991 and depict those two characters in that work. He is a five time Eisner Award winner.

I have photos of the artwork that I can send by email. Size 12” x 8”.

These pieces have been kept in an art flat file since I bought them in 1990/1

Pricing convention art is hard!
by: Ashley

Hi David, thanks for writing to Sell My Comic Art.

It's hard to price convention art. While it's cool (especially if you watched the artist work on the pieces), unpublished art is pretty much worth what a collector will pay for it.

Market forces are driven by published art. There is fierce competition, especially for hot artists' work and/or pieces published in a popular title or key issue.

Convention art typically sells in the $100 range.

Thanks for sharing your nice artwork.
