Groo the Wanderer was published under numerous companies over its run beginning with Pacific Publishing, then Eclipse Comics, Marvel Comics, Image Comics, before finally moving to Dark Horse Comics where is continues to run today.

Many of Aragones cartoons have a appeared in the paperback editions of the Mad magazine series.

Aragones has won numerous awards over his career beginning in 1972 with Shazam Award in for Best Inker in the Humour Division for his work on Mad Magazine. He also won a Shazam Award that same year for Best Humour Story for The Poster Plague which was featured in House of Mystery #202.
