History of Bob Hall in Comic Book Art

Bob Hall is a comic book artist and writer who began working in the industry in 1974, after completing his studies at the John Buscema school of comic art.

His first professional work was for drawing horror stories for Charlton Comics

Shortly thereafter, he moved publishers to work for Marvel Comics, providing artwork for Super-Villain Team-Up and The Champions.

Hall later co-created the Marvel series West Coast Avengers and has worked on a number of other Marvel series including The Avengers, Daredevil, The Amazing Spider-Man, Ka-Zar, Defenders, Marvel Team-Up, Squadron Supreme and many more.

From 1978 to 1979 he briefly served as Marvel's editor under Jim Shooter.

Hall later left Marvel along with Shooter to work for Valiant Comics, on titles like Armed and Dangerous and Shadowman, both of which he served as writer and artist.

After his time at Valiant, Hall left the comic book industry to co-found the New York City off-off-Broadway theatre company, New Rude Mechanicals. He continues to work in theatre as a directory, set designer and writer.
