History of Julie Bell in Comic Book Art

Julie Bell is predominantly known for her fantasy and science-fiction paintings, having painted cover art for over 100 books and magazines since the 1990s.

She has also painted illustrations of superhero trading cards for both DC and Marvel, many of which became best-sellers. Bell has provided superhero paintings for Image Comics as well. 

Bell has also provided artwork for a number of different calendars, including the Heavy Metal Magazine annual calendar and Journey. 

Her own personal work is often fine art, featuring themes of contemporary imaginative realism and images of wildlife.
